Sensex, Nifty up after Trump's exemption for tariffs on electronics

Benchmark equity indices continued to trade higher on Tuesday tracking a rally in global markets as investors sentiment became buoyant after US President Donald Trump relaxed some of the tariffs on electronics for now.

At 10:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 76718.52 up by 1561.26 points or by 2.08 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23308.85 up by 480.3 points or by 2.1 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 76907.63 and intraday low of 76435.07 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 23368.35 and intraday low of 23207

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 732.05,+6.29%), Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 622.55,+4.62%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 3255.00,+4.43%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1211.60,+4.09%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 2686.60,+4.01%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2354.60,-0.51%), ITC Ltd. (Rs. 421.45,-0.08%), Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 2360.00,-0.04%), among others.
