Aluminium prices edged lower on Tuesday, falling by 70 paise to Rs 233.90 per kilogram in the futures market, as traders pared down their positions amid a sluggish trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), aluminium contracts for May delivery dropped by 0.3% to Rs 233.90 per kilogram, with a total of 2,292 lots traded.
Analysts attributed the decline to reduced demand from key consuming industries, which prompted participants to scale back their holdings.
