Zinc prices rose by 65 paise to Rs 254.70 per kg in futures trade on Monday, driven by improved demand in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), zinc contracts for May delivery climbed 0.26% to Rs 254.70 per kg, with a trading volume of 423 lots.
Analysts attributed the price uptick to increased position-building by participants, fueled by rising demand from consuming industries.
