Copper prices climbed 0.57% to Rs 811.50 per kg in the futures market on Monday, driven by renewed buying interest amid strong demand in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), May delivery contracts for copper rose by Rs 4.60 to Rs 811.50 per kg, with a trading volume of 3,118 lots.
Analysts noted that fresh positions by traders, supported by demand from consuming industries, helped boost copper prices in futures trading.
