Silver prices tumbled by Rs 2,324 to Rs 97,429 per kilogram in futures trading on Thursday as participants scaled back their bets.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, May delivery silver contracts dropped by Rs 2,324 or 2.33% to Rs 97,429 per kg, with a trading volume of 17,110 lots.
Analysts attributed the decline to a sell-off by participants at prevailing market levels.
